Hispanic Heritage Breakfast

Ruth Mendez, Owner of Mexico Magico and Victor Hernandez, Jr. share highlights of being hispanic business owners.  Ruth is thrilled to be starting this business with the support of her family.  She mentioned that it is very nice that you don't have to be alone when starting a business in the community that Growth Dimensions and the Chamber can support you.

Victor spoke eloquently about his father starting this business with the American Dream in Mind.  One of the ways they measured success was that he wanted customers to feel like family when they were in the restaurant.  Victor Jr. has been working at El Molcajete since he was a child.  He started busing tables and grew into serving, where now he is responsible for the day to day operation.  He is excited to be running this business his family has owned since 1994.

LULAC of Boone County also gave out their first-ever Boone County Latino and Latina of the Year awards to Jenaru Hernandez and Lydia Gonzalez.
